From Patties-to-Party, Family Fun-Filled Day of Free Activities
April 1, 2011 - On Saturday, April 2, 2011, the nation's number largest Caribbean franchise chain will celebrate its Stone Mountain location's fifth anniversary by hosting a party for the community that has made it one of the most popular restaurants in the region. "We want to celebrate our loyal customers who have made the restaurant such a success - this is their day," says Jacqueline Hawthorne-Robinson, one of Golden Krust's founding partners and operator of the Stone Mountain location.
Golden Krust's mouth-watering Caribbean fare would be reason enough to celebrate, but the restaurant's management, who have earned a reputation for their tireless support of the community, have decided to throw a party for their Georgian friends and neighbors. Mrs. Hawthorne-Robinson and the entire Golden Krust team are inviting the public to witness the ground-breaking for the expansion to serve the increasingly robust growing demand. The Stone Mountain Golden Krust store will be extending its current 2500 sq foot facility by 1100 square feet. The ceremony will take place at 3pm.
In attendance for this festive occasion will be a long list of dignitaries, including: Stone Mountain Mayor, Patricia Wheeler, Jamaican Consul General, Hon. Vin Martin, as well as a number of Georgia House Representatives and local Council members.
The fabulous food that has made Golden Krust Caribbean Bakery & Grill the most popular Caribbean restaurant chain in the nation (they were recently singled out by New York Times food critic Sam Sifton) isn't the only thing to be enjoyed on Saturday. Customer Appreciation Day, which will run from 1:00PM to Midnight, will feature free samples, giveaways, games, cotton candy, live entertainment and a fashion show.
All events will take place at the Golden Krust Caribbean Bakery & Grill, 1267 South Hairston Rd, Stone Mountain, GA.
