First of Its Kind Golden Krust Opens on 149th Street in the Bronx

Buffet Style Golden Krust Joins The Hub

149th street is the self proclaimed Hub of the South Bronx. The thriving center of shopping and travel welcomed the newest Golden Krust franchise to the corner of 149th and Courtlandt Avenue last week. The first of its kind for Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant, this location operates on a pay-per-pound buffet model, allowing customers to customize their portions, budget, and flavor combinations to an unprecedented degree.

What remains the same are the storied family recipes that started the Golden Krust journey in Jamaica in 1949 and have carried it through over 100 locations in nine states. Never before has it been so easy to sample Jerk chicken and oxtail on the same plate. Open 7 AM until 10 PM Monday to Saturday and 8 AM to 9 PM on Sunday, Golden Krust 149th Street is also available for delivery on Grubhub. With the opening of 149th Street, franchisees Marcia Hawthorne and Shawn Ffrench now own and operate a staggering eight Golden Krust Restaurants!
