Mount Vernon Golden Krust Provides Free Thanksgiving Dinner

Franchisee Celebrates 25 Years of Giving

Golden Krust Mount Vernon hosted their Annual Complimentary Thanksgiving Dinner on Sunday, giving out over 600 free meals to members of the local community. On the corner of South 4th Avenue and 2nd StreetFranchisee Sandra Pitter Bryan, has been giving back to the local Mount Vernon community for 25 years, providing for members of local churches, shelters, and schools.

Anyone who came holding a ticket was treated to a free meal consisting of Jerk ChickenBBQ Chicken, or Curried Goat, with Rice & Peas and Steamed Vegetables as sides. The event featured prominent guests, including Mount Vernon Mayor, Shawyn Patterson-Howard, and Golden Krust Interim CEO, Zehra Sheriff.

All of our food is cooked from scratch and made fresh daily, so when you dine with us, it’s like having a meal at home with family! We’re known for our family recipes of classic Caribbean cuisine and bakery items, from Jamaican beef patties and coco bread, to jerk chicken, oxtail, and curried goat or chicken.
