Peekskill Juneteenth Celebration Gets Taste of Jamaica

Germine James Continues Serving the Community

Recently opened on 1845 East Main Street in the Beach Shopping Center, the new Peekskill Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant has quickly ingratiated itself to the community. The restaurant and owner, Germine James, partook in the 2023 Peekskill Juneteenth Parade & Festival as a Food Vendor and allowed the opportunity for guests to Savor the Flavor of Jamaica.

Entertainment at the festival included Hip Hop Juggler, X-Factor Drum Line, Peekskill High School Marching Band, BRI THE ARTIST, and many more. Grand Marshals for the event included Francis Berry, Ray Blue, W. Haywood Burns, and Vera Smith.

Golden Krust is one of the leading Caribbean restaurants in the United States — known for their family recipes of classic Caribbean staples, from Jamaican beef patties and coco bread, to jerk chicken, oxtail, and curried goat or chicken. Offerings now include vegetarian alternatives.
