About the Foundation

The Lowell F. Hawthorne Foundation was established in 2018 to aid in the funding of scholarships for outstanding students in high schools, universities and educational institutions. It is dedicated to inspiring, empowering and strengthening underserved communities by developing endowment funds specifically in the United States and the Caribbean.

Lowell, through Golden Krust, did not only assist students in the United States but also provided scholarships to outstanding students at Kingston College and his Alma Mater, Oberlin High School, St. Andrew Jamaica. In 2010, he signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of the West Indies, to the tune of US$100,000 which is being disbursed over a period of eight years to undergraduate students pursuing the Social Sciences. The Lowell F. Hawthorne Foundation will be a catalyst for the advancement of education for years to come. Join us in supporting this great cause!
