Chris Martin Highlights Big Deal Grand Opening Celebration

Known for his songs “Cheaters Prayer,” “I’m a Big Deal,”  and “Let Her Go,” Christopher Martin is a staple in Jamaican Entertainment. This made him the perfect guest to appear at the Grand Opening Celebration for the new 149th Street Golden Krust location in the South Bronx. Featuring a guest DJ from Irie Jam Radio, a live performance from Steel Sensation, free samples of Jerk Chicken and Patties, free samples from our friends at Vita Coco, the Grand Opening was one for the ages.

149th Street is the self-proclaimed Hub of the South Bronx. The thriving center of shopping and travel welcomed the newest Golden Krust franchise to the corner of 149th and Courtlandt Avenue. The first of its kind for Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant, this location operates on a pay-per-pound buffet model, allowing customers to customize their portions, budget, and flavor combinations to an unprecedented degree.

Open 7 AM until 10 PM Monday to Saturday and 8 AM to 9 PM on Sunday, Golden Krust 149th Street is also available for delivery on Uber Eats, DoorDash, and Grubhub. With the opening of 149th Street, franchisees Marcia Hawthorne and Shawn Ffrench now own and operate a staggering eight Golden Krust Restaurants! The restaurant has thus far experienced the most successful opening in company history.
