Golden Krust Celebrates Star-Studded Palmetto Bay Grand Opening

Rohan Marley Highlights Grand Opening Celebration

Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant, the nation’s largest Caribbean franchise chain, with over 110 restaurants in eight states, celebrated the first year of the new Palmetto Bay location this weekend with a gathering featuring community leaders, valued customers, and an appearance from Rohan Marley himself.

The festive Caribbean celebrations provided Floridians free samples of Golden Krust’s famous Jamaican-style patties and flavorful jerk chicken. The large crowd was also treated to face painting, a skillful stilt walker, and lively musical selections of DJ Sanjay and Waggy Tee Movements from 99 Jamz.

With their first Golden Krust location, Andrew and Michelle McKinley have already gone above and beyond to ingratiate themselves with the community, routinely sponsoring events ranging from golf outings to basketball tournaments and collaborating with Circle House studios for Reggae month in February of this year.

Special guests for the evening, apart from Reggae royalty, included Palmetto Bay Village Mayor Karyn Cunningham, Miami-Dade Commissioner Danielle Cohen Higgins, and Executive Director of Chamber of Commerce Melissa Cancio. Several South Florida Golden Krust Franchisees joined the celebratory ribbon cutting to support the McKinley family. Beverages were provided by our partners Vita Coco, Red Bull, and Bigga.

Golden Krust Palmetto Bay is open now. Visit 9534 Southwest 160th Street, Miami, FL, Monday through Thursday, 8 AM to 7 PM, and Friday and Saturday, 8 AM to 8 PM. Delivery is available through Uber Eats, DoorDash, and EZ Cater.
